Counseling for adults who are navigating significant life transitions
There are times in our lives when things just don’t make sense. You may not recognize yourself or the world around you anymore. Things feel difficult or confusing, more so than usual. This can happen when things change -- when you graduate, when someone you love passes away, when your kids grow up, when a relationship ends, or when life simply does not go the way you planned. Or, perhaps things are going well and you’ve built the life you’ve always wanted, but something still feels missing.
I am here to walk with you through change -- through the many components of change that are full of loss, confusion, fear, meaning-making, hope, and growth. My approach is to meet you where you are right now and to walk with you as you cultivate life in the way you choose for it to be, full of meaning, purpose, and self-direction. It is my privilege to aid you on your journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut. My practice is founded upon my steadfast belief that each and every one of us is doing the best we can, given the circumstances in which we find ourselves.
I take a strengths-based approach and seek to create an environment in which each unique client is able to find the emotional safety, trust, and freedom necessary to facilitate growth.
I practice from principles of Humanism and Rogerian psychotherapy, which seek to understand each client from his/her own individual, lived experience and perspective. I also incorporate principles of attachment, trauma, self-compassion, self-psychology, and family systems into my work.
I strongly believe that you are the expert of your own life. My role is to facilitate and support you as you actualize what is already within you. I welcome everyone to my practice.
